Last week I attended the New Adventures conference in Nottingham, England. It was my first ‘big’ web conference – but definitely not my last.
Although the conference was really fairly priced it offered some big names of the industry: Jason Santa Maria, Jessica Hische and also Dan Cederholm who unfortunately couldn’t make it in the end due to some private reasons.
Jessica was as inspiring as usual. She’s really great in summing up what we as creatives experience in our daily work. What’s more, she really seems to embody the things she says. Jason, being quite the opposite in regards to rhetorics, gave a insightful talk about approaching design projects today.
The feeling of belonging to a great and enthusiastic community is, after all, the most important aspect of a conference. Even if you know most of the technical things already or even some of the talks – it’s better to be live in the front row, so to say. And hey, I even met Dan Eden, one of my favorite twitterers and web-folks.
